About the role

The Equipment Engineering Services Department in Colorado Springs has an opening for an Equipment Engineering Team member. You will assist current engineers and technicians to meet Fab 5 manufacturing goals: timely shipment of high-quality, low-cost products in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage specific toolsets as assigned and ensure a safe environment for staff.
• Become a tool expert, perform preventive maintenance (PMs), and address down tools during staff shortages.
• Improve and maintain uptime; Pareto downtime to drive tool performance from PM to PM.
• Provide technical direction and assist with difficult down-tool situations; arrange vendor support if needed.
• Manage spare part inventory; repair obsolete components or find/qualify replacements.
• Write and update PM procedures; ensure good communication between shifts.
• Implement cost reductions and support continuous improvement and process engineering projects.
• Qualify new components and collaborate on yield, qualification, and quality issues.
• Analyze Space Navigator/Watchdog data to drive improvement and provide functional area support.
• Assist the area manager with technician training matrix development and implementation.
• Act as area lead when needed.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree required.
• 2+ years of engineering experience required.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, dependent on job location, skills, and experience. We offer a total compensation package that includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonus payments, health benefits (starting day one), retirement savings plans, and an industry-leading ESPP program with a 2-year look-back feature.
