About the role

Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, practices and procedures commonly employed in a specific area of assignment.
  • Provides the engineering expertise necessary to support intermediate projects that are generally conventional in nature.
  • Conducts or participates in studies of intermediate size that evaluate performance, cost, and scheduling criteria of a limited number of alternatives.
  • Applies routine engineering techniques, practices, and procedures in support of operational areas.
  • Communicates engineering ideas, recommendations, and evaluations effectively to engineering and non-engineering individuals and groups.
  • Represents the Company in intermediate engineering matters.
  • Interacts with and provides technical support consistent with the application of well-established standards to other associates.
  • Participates in the formulation of Company and industry standards.
  • Provides technical direction and/or activity supervision to contractors and Company personnel as required by specific assignments/projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET).
  • Four or more years of engineering experience or three or more with a Fundamentals of Engineering certificate or three or more with a Master's Degree in Engineering.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and proven ability to apply diverse engineering principles, practices and regulations and to perform economic and decision analysis studies of complex issues in areas including, but not limited to, generation, transmission, distribution, system planning, financial and regulatory issues, asset utilization, and environmental controls and regulations.
  • Broad knowledge and proven ability to apply engineering principles, practices and regulations to, and perform economic and decision analysis studies of issues in areas including, but not limited to, generation, transmission, distribution, system planning, financial and regulatory issues, asset utilization, and environmental controls and regulations.

Benefits

Given the financial nature of this position, this position may be required to obtain a credit check depending on location.

Pay

  • Engineer IV: $94,831 - $128,022 - $161,213
  • Engineer III: $82,463 - $111,325 - $140,187
  • Engineer II: $73,060 - $96,804 - $120,548

Schedule

Time will be divided between office and field, with a majority of time in the office. Work will be around high voltage electricity facilities, computers, office equipment, and construction equipment.
