Engineer I

Role Description

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (primarily remote data-driven work with occasional onsite alignment at our Clark, NJ Operations Hub as needed)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• KPI Tracking: Pull, compile, and assess monthly sustainability and packaging KPIs and performance trends.
• Data Extractions: Run Power BI extractions, manage data sets, and prepare routine sustainability reports.
• Testing Coordination: Submit and track packaging recyclability testing requests with internal and external partners.
• Operational Support: Assist with transactional data entries, system updates, and documentation of packaging sustainability efforts.
• EPR Calculations: Calculate Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees.

Required Background & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Sustainability, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in package engineering, sustainability, or operational data analysis (cosmetics or consumer goods experience is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas) and experience extracting data from Power BI or database systems.
• Competencies: Demonstrated skills in analyzing, reporting, and documenting quantitative information with a strong attention to detail.
• Soft Skills: Well-organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on highly structured, transactional tasks in a fast-paced environment.
