Engineer Divers – Mid Level

About the role

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively seeking experienced Structural Engineer Divers at our Baton Rouge or New Orleans, LA office.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and/or supervises site investigations of marine structures, bridges, etc.
• Ensures that the scope of work is fulfilled and that the contracted deliverable is submitted on schedule and as budgeted.
• Works collaboratively with all members of the inspection team and of other engineering disciplines.
• Analyzes deteriorated components of marine structures to assess load capacity.
• Prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Aids in business development activities such as proposals and cost estimates for the Inspection & Rehabilitation Discipline in the Louisiana area.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Louisiana or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• Certified Commercial Diver is required; ADCI, HSE, DCBC, IMCA, ADAS or completion of a US military equivalent diving school.
• NHI/NBIS bridge inspection qualifications a plus.
• 4 to 10 years of related experience.
• Proven experience in performing above/below water engineering inspections.
• Capability to lead and work effectively as part of a team.
