About the role

You will serve as a fully seasoned technical resource, coordinating dependencies across platform teams and business capabilities. The role ensures the platform supports non-functional requirements (NFRs) across multiple line-of-business initiatives and anticipated growth over five years. You will collaborate with solution architects to maintain consistent design across platform components and support production environments with expertise in maintenance, change, control, incident, and problem management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver large-scale applications with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Monitor, triage, and performance-tune applications using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
  • Develop and contribute to automation and shared/common solutions.
  • Make recommendations to ensure the platform supports NFRs and future growth.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, business technology partners, and development teams.
  • Support production environments, including maintenance, change control, and incident/problem management.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Act as a self-starter, working independently with minimal supervision while fostering teamwork.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Mentor team members and promote innovative thinking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale applications.
  • Experience with application servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, Mule, or Tomcat.
  • Strong experience in integration technologies, including Mule ESB, middleware, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Mule, web services, Kafka, SQL, and PL/SQL (Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, and their usage in API and microservice implementations at scale.
  • Experience with container platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development and unit testing (e.g., Cucumber, JUnit).
  • Experience in highly Agile CI/CD environments, preferably within the financial domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Pay

$100,000 - $135,000 a year
