Engineer - Asset & Records Control (Multiple Locations)

About the role

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU]. This position can be located anywhere in the FE territory.

Responsibilities

• Initiating actions to collect data and information required for transmission system reliability analysis
• Organizing transmission reliability data to facilitate analysis of transmission system reliability
• Performing formal and rigorous analysis to determine the cause(s) of transmission system events
• Performing statistical analyses of transmission reliability data to identify the primary drivers adversely impacting transmission system reliability
• Developing and maintaining metrics demonstrating how FE transmission system reliability compares to applicable industry standards
• Recommending management, target levels of FE transmission system reliability performance relative to industry norms
• Working with Planning & Protection, Engineering and others to identify options with recommendations for projects and initiatives to improve FE transmission system reliability
• Coeordinating and championing transmission system reliability improvement projects through to inclusion in transmission portfolio
• Developing and making presentations to leadership on status updates and/or project justifications
