Summary
The Engine Department Sales & Support role is a key customer-facing position responsible for driving sales of aftermarket aircraft engines, parts, and related services. This role supports the sales team through product line expertise and management of technical documentation, ensuring accurate and efficient customer solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support sales team accounts to ensure Jet Midwest delivers exceptional customer service and efficient order fulfillment
- Collaborate closely with Repairs, Purchasing, and Product Line Specialists to ensure quotes and finalized sales meet internal requirements
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences to promote the engine product line
- Monitor, track, and report on quote activity, sales performance, and key metrics related to engine parts sales
- Aid the sales team with technical documentation and trace files, ensuring accuracy and compliance critical to departmental success
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of proven aviation industry sales experience, preferably in the aftermarket parts sector
- In-depth knowledge and experience with sales methodology and excellent closing and negotiation skills
- A service-minded outlook and invested in relationship building with your customers and have outstanding communication skills
- An ability to prioritize and manage multiple or conflicting priorities appropriately
- A passion for working with a commission structure that puts you in charge of your paycheck
- A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Takes initiative and is self-motivated
- Technical knowledge and familiarity with Engines such as Pratt 4000, GE90, Trent 800, RB211-535, CF6-80, V2500, and PW2000
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- While performing the responsibilities of Engine Part Sales, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, most of your workday
- Less than 5% of your job duties will require the ability to: walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- The noise level is usually low, as consistent with an office environment
- At times, some light lifting may be required, up to 10 lb
