Engagement & Technical Lead

About the role

Richmond, Va (Light Hybrid) – Long term contract.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagement interactions and deliverables from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and to required standards.
• Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of vendor resources work products as aligned to statements of work.
• Consult on technology and analytics approaches.
• Oversee vendor resources in planning, monitoring, and implementing program deliverables.
• Manage expectations, address concerns, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Ensure accountability for contractual deliverables that meet business expectations.
• Connect deliverables with high-level objectives and vision.
• Develop and drive the planning, execution, and delivery of technical programs related to data warehousing and reporting services ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 5‑8 years of management experience leading Data & Analytics efforts.
• Minimum 5‑8 years of leading large, multi‑faceted teams to develop and implement data warehousing and BI solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Data Management fundamentals including Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence and their interrelationships.
• High level expertise/experience with databases, ETL tools, data modeling, and cloud‑based solutions.
• AI & ML knowledge, current on LLMs and generative AI to advise client on how to strategize and implement for future business needs.
• Experience in developing data management/analytical multi‑year roadmaps.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps Board or other project software.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with communication tools for scheduling and communication.
