About the Role
Serves as an unclassified employee pursuant to Section 3301.13 ORC and performs educational and/or research duties focused on expanding programs and systems that promote and support student, family, and stakeholder engagement and school partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Provides customer-focused specialized program assistance as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborates with state agencies and entities focused on student, family, and stakeholder engagement (e.g., family engagement centers).
- Coordinates initiatives such as student voice groups, family voice groups, stakeholder engagement groups, and similar projects with measured outcomes.
- Establishes and maintains collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., participates in work groups, facilitates collaboration events, provides feedback).
- Participates in workgroups and advisory groups related to student, family, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provides technical assistance, supports, or resources on engaging students, families, and stakeholders at the local level or partnering with schools.
- Researches and develops resources and materials for students, families, and stakeholders on engagement, attendance, academic partnership, and online tools for school selection.
- Reviews state and federal laws, best practices, and educational data to recommend policy changes to a direct supervisor.
- Facilitates presentations and professional development on engagement and partnerships among students, families, schools, and stakeholders.
- Collects data on the Department’s impact on family engagement and school partnerships.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
72 months (6 years) of experience performing any combination of the following:
- Previous employment in an educational setting or family-serving agency.
- Providing engagement supports and opportunities to students and families.
- Facilitating or coordinating stakeholder engagement groups across multiple department levels.
- Project planning and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and team-building skills.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and other).
- Experience facilitating work groups across multiple department levels.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Experience with development of tools and technical assistance related to program operations.
- Working knowledge of state and federal laws and government organization.
Pay
$34.28 - $50.65 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
