Engagement Lead, Patient Activate Commercial
About the role
The Engagement Lead oversees client delivery for Patient Activate Commercial programs by managing teams of Patient Activate Managers responsible for day-to-day execution. This role ensures consistent, high-quality delivery across the build phase and ongoing patient identification, engagement, and support activities. The Engagement Lead serves as a senior client-facing leader, aligning client objectives with internal delivery teams and Ambit ways of working. This position combines people management, operational oversight, and client leadership to scale Patient Activate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor teams of Patient Activate Managers supporting commercial programs
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of Patient Activate programs across build and ongoing patient identification phases
- Ensure consistent execution standards across implementations
- Serve as senior point of escalation for client, operational, or performance issues
- Partner with Patient Activate Managers to align program execution with client goals and strategic priorities
- Review and approve key deliverables, reporting, and client-facing materials
- Cook up and coordinate closely with project management, content, media, data, and client teams
- Monitor performance across patient identification, qualification, and engagement funnels and guide optimization efforts
- Identify risks, capacity constraints, and resourcing needs across teams and proactively address them
- Support account growth by identifying expansion opportunities
- Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and evolution of Patient Activate delivery standards
Requirements
8+ years of experience in life sciences consulting performing client service, program leadership, or digital marketing engagements with pharmaceutical clients
Experience managing managers and leading teams responsible for complex commercial programs
Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, and endemic media
Experience partnering with media, analytics, and data teams to optimize acquisition and engagement programs
Familiarity with marketing technology platforms including CRMs, marketing automation, and analytics tools
Strong grasp of consent, qualification, and handoff workflows in regulated environments
Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
Experience working in HIPAA-regulated, compliance-driven environments
Highly organized, decisive, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership
