Summary
Mortenson is seeking a Design Phase Engineer I to support project leadership during the design phase, focusing on customer experience, financial performance, scheduling, estimating, and design and planning.Responsibilities
- Support the project team in achieving scope and budget alignment, schedule alignment, an integrated team experience, construction readiness, and excellent financial performance
- Aid in establishing and managing project budget and scope expectations, budget trending logs, and associated communications and resources
- Create and manage project schedules and key milestones, holding team members accountable for reaching set milestones
- Assist with the regulatory approval and permitting process
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and contract manuals
- Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection
- Identify technical design and specification concerns, escalating as necessary to achieve resolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills
- Ability to travel up to 100%
