Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair customer heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Install and commission heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and related equipment.
- Communicate with customers and resolve their problems when possible.
- Provide technical support and coordinate installations, services, and repairs.
- Satisfy customer needs cost-effectively without direct supervision.
- Maintain vehicle inventory and stock.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Sell and support company goals with daily efforts.
Job Requirements
- Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter License (in good standing)
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (current)
- Valid driver's license
- Holding of, or ability to gain, the following RI licenses is a plus: RI PJF Journeyperson Gas, RI PJF Journeyperson Propane, RI Journeyperson Plumber, RI Journeyperson Pipefitter 2, and/or RI Journeyperson Refrigeration 2.
Technical Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience installing residential HVAC equipment (furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, domestic hot water equipment, and related components).
- Proficiency in gas, water, hydronic, and near-boiler piping installation, including copper brazing and soldering.
- Working knowledge of residential HVAC electrical and control systems (low-voltage controls, wiring diagrams, sequence of operations, and electrical connections).
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions, mechanical drawings, equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and applicable codes.
- Competency in equipment start-up, testing, commissioning, and customer orientation.

- Strong communication skills with a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to travel throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island service territories as assigned.
- Ability to coordinate with Dispatch and management on work orders and recognize work requiring additional trade licensing.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to listen, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low.
