PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Insight FS is a cooperative headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across Wisconsin and Michigan. With 430+ employees and approximately 50,000 customers, Insight FS serves agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf businesses. As part of the GROWMARK System, which serves over 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada, Insight FS focuses on energy product marketing, sales, and customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Implements energy product marketing plans, offering value-added merchandise, and promoting service as part of the sale for the assigned territory.
- Ensures profitable sales growth through target marketing, competitive analysis, risk management, and building solid business relationships.
- Utilizes an effective sales administration plan that includes setting expectations, training, regular in-field networking and prospecting, follow-ups, and measuring results.
- Reviews annual energy product sales goals and key objectives to stay aligned with company's goals and objectives.
- Ensures compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
- Maintains company vehicle and equipment in proper operating condition.
- Collaborates with other sales team members to maximize results.
- Adheres to GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for ensuring company credit policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintains company vehicle and equipment in proper operating condition.
- Collaborates with other sales team members in effort to maximize results.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related area or the equivalent thereof, and 3 or more years of energy sales experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the proven ability to demonstrate advanced marketing skills, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share.
- Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
- Ability to achieve and maintain Energy Marketing Specialist (EMS) and Certified Propane Specialist (CPS) Certifications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications and/or licenses necessary to support business needs.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Will be required to travel independently and work self-directed.
- Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK energy division products, merchandise, and services.
- Occasionally exposed or required to:
- Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
