Energy Propane Cylinder Specialist

Responsibilities

• Accountable for inventory control and product rotation.
• Unloading propane railcars.
• Assisting customers with propane and fuels orders and parts and fittings.
• Loading and unloading company and vendor trucks safely and efficiently, documenting all discrepancies and damage.
• Maintaining gas services station.
• Loading outbound merchandise ensuring merchandise is secured following DOT load securement rules.
• Participating in merchandise check-in, receive, transfer, and storage utilizing established standards.
• Stowing freight to proper locations.
• Ensuring merchandise is prepared correctly for shipment and sale including proper shipping documents.
• Moving and spotting trailers in the loading/unloading area.
• Acknowledging all customers, employees, and vendors in a positive manner.
• Communicating with customers, other employees, and vendors using proper telephone etiquette.
• Aiding customers with product information and orders if needed.
• Keeping Distribution Center and outside facility clean and organized at all times to ensure safety.
• Operating forklift and hand trucks.
• Performing equipment inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Qualifications/Prerequisites

• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience with previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be certified to operate forklift with three months forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems operations and associated software.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
• Demonstrated skill in product recognition.
• Able to acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
• Able to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
• Able to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors.
• Strong team player focus in all interactions.
• Exhibits a professional and positive image.
