Energy Delivery Specialist
About the role
The Energy Delivery Specialist plays a crucial role in the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of refined fuels, propane, lubricants, and related energy products to agricultural, commercial, and residential customers.
Responsibilities
Delivery Operations: Responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation and delivery of refined fuels, propane, lubricants, and other energy products to customers. Conducts pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, verifies product type, quantity, and delivery location, and maintains professional communication with customers.
Installation & Service: Assists with and performs installation, setup, and service of bulk fuel tanks, propane tanks, pumps, meters, regulators, hoses, and dispensing systems. Coordinates tank placement, conducts pressure testing and leak checks, and supports environmental protection efforts.
Compliance & Risk Management: Maintains safety-sensitive operational compliance with DOT, hazardous materials transportation regulations, and OSHA safety standards. Participates in safety and job required trainings, uses required personal protective equipment, and supports a proactive safety culture.
Customer Service & Teamwork: Supports customer retention and cooperative growth by delivering reliable, professional, and responsive service. Identifies business opportunities, assists with service expansion opportunities, and contributes to operational improvement.
Equipment, Facility & Inventory Maintenance: Performs daily inspection, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of trucks, trailers, pumps, hoses, meters, storage systems, and related delivery equipment. Maintains cooperative facilities and work areas in a clean, organized, and operationally safe condition.
Requirements
Required – High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred – Prior energy delivery, fuel transportation, or related operational roles.
Required – Valid Driver’s License.
Required – CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
Required – DOT Medical Certification required and must be maintained in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Required – CTEP certification for propane delivery and cylinder filling, required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Strenuous – lifting of 75 # or more: Ability to stand, walk, or move continuously for extended periods during plant, drive on rural or unpaved roads, and work near commercial traffic, agricultural equipment, and bulk storage sites.
