About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Optometric professional to join our team. As an integral part of our healthcare delivery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing comprehensive eye examinations, and contributing to the overall success of our practice. This role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient service and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye and vision examinations to diagnose and manage ocular conditions.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids to correct vision problems.
- Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, and refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, hygiene, and the use of vision aids.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including examination results and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Proven clinical experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong patient focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
