Energy Assistance Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and gather information needed to determine program eligibility
• Retrieve online applications submitted in eHEAT system
• Scan applications received at site locations
• Complete accurate data entry - including inputting household information and application data (text-based and numerical) from documents into eHEAT system
• Respond to heating emergencies within Department of Commerce timelines
• Cook with energy vendors, place emergency guarantees and complete follow up activity
• Answer client requests and questions via phone, email, and in person
• Be knowledgeable of community resources; collaborate with staff and external sources of services
• Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and community outreach events as requested
• Other duties as assigned
