Responsibilities
- Manage R&D projects with a focus on growing R&D tax credit engagements for Energy companies where expertise in the following areas will help Crowe gain market share: Seismic imaging technology, Experimental drilling technology, Experimental completion technology, Unique drilling/fracking techniques, Stage spacing for well completions, Experimental fluids and proppant formulas
- Manage Energy Tax Credit projects: Manage Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) engagements for both large and small energy projects (solar, wind, hydrogen, battery storage, etc.). Manage Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC) studies. Include performing tax technical analysis and drafting reports for our clients.
- Drive business development and sales growth
- Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectations
- Perform tax technical analysis and quality review on tax credit studies and communicate tax technical issues to the broader team
- Deep understanding of IRC Sections 45 and 48 and related regulations and guidance
- Effectively lead client discussions with multiple stakeholders including Tax Directors, General Contractors, Project Managers, etc.
- Develop and execute project work plans
- Develop appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results
- Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong data management skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx
- Ability to mentor and develop staff and young professionals, including on the job technical training and coaching
- Personal drive to develop self/others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or related degree required, Master of Science in Tax (MST) is a plus
- At least 7+ years experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience
- Experience in the subject matter areas described above preferred
- CPA, EA, or PE credential required

Pay
$139,200.00 - $293,500.00 per year
