Energy and R&D Tax Credit Senior Manager

Responsibilities
Manage R&D projects with a focus on growing R&D tax credit engagements for Energy companies, leveraging expertise in seismic imaging technology, experimental drilling technology, experimental completion technology, unique drilling/fracking techniques, stage spacing for well completions, and experimental fluids and proppant formulas.
Lead Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) engagements for both large and small energy projects, including solar, wind, hydrogen, battery storage, and other renewable energy sources.
Conduct Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC) studies, performing tax technical analysis and drafting reports for clients.
Drive business development and sales growth by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities.
Manage client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment, ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded.
Perform tax technical analysis and quality reviews on tax credit studies, and communicate tax technical issues to the broader team.
Lead client discussions with multiple stakeholders, including Tax Directors, General Contractors, Project Managers, and others.
Develop and execute project work plans, and create appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results.
Mentor and develop staff and young professionals, including on-the-job technical training and coaching.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or related field required, with a Master of Science in Tax (MST) preferred.
At least 7+ years of experience in public accounting, with a strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience.
Experience in the subject matter areas of R&D tax credits and energy tax credits preferred.
CPA, EA, or PE credential required.

Pay and Schedule
The salary range for this role is $139,200.00 - $293,500.00 per year. This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office, and remote work arrangements are available based on business needs.
