Endpoint Engineer 1

About the role

This position is primarily responsible for the proposal and design of solutions that support FNB's endpoint environment. The Endpoint Engineer works with IT, Information Security, and business teams to recommend and evaluate improvements to technologies and procedures involved in the deployment and maintenance of endpoints, printers, and applications, ensuring continuous improvement of FNB's end user experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of endpoint solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, Information Security, and business teams to identify and characterize areas for improvement in end user experience.
• Propose wholistic, scalable solutions taking all factors and potential impacts into account.
• Serve as the 3rd tier of escalation for desktop OS and hardware-related issues, collaborating with technical resources and escalating as needed.
• Act as subject matter expert on FNB's endpoint environment for technical teams, lines of business, and vendors.
• Attend project planning and status meetings to advise on proper utilization of the endpoint technology stack.
• Maintain the endpoint environment, including patching, application packaging, and deployment.
• Develop and test complex solutions independently using scripting (batch, PowerShell) and in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and networks.
• Report status of ongoing implementations to IT management and project managers, including risk assessment based on timeline, criticality, and scope of end user impact.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Serve as a risk manager by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring risks encountered daily.
• Adhere to regulatory laws and company procedures as part of FNB’s compliance requirements.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree (or a combination of education and equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.
• Experience with enterprise Microsoft user and endpoint management technologies.
• Familiarity with desktop virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency with scripting in batch and PowerShell.
• In-depth understanding of Windows operating systems and networks.
• Valid driver’s license.
