Endpoint Engineer 1

About the role

This position is primarily responsible for the proposal and design of solutions that support FNB's endpoint environment. The Endpoint Engineer works with IT, Information Security, and business teams to recommend and evaluate improvements to technologies and procedures involved in the deployment and maintenance of endpoints, printers, and applications, ensuring continuous improvement of FNB's end user experience. This role has substantial impact on the corporation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of endpoint solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, Information Security, and business teams to identify and characterize areas for improvement in end user experience.
• Propose wholistic, scalable solutions taking all factors and potential impacts into account.
• Serve as the 3rd tier of escalation for desktop OS and hardware-related issues, collaborating with other technical resources (internal or external) and escalating as needed for resolution.
• Act as subject matter expert on FNB's endpoint environment for other technical teams, lines of business, and vendors.
• Attend project planning and status meetings to advise on proper utilization of the endpoint technology stack, ensuring projects are completed successfully and in a timely manner.
• Maintain the endpoint environment, including patching, application packaging, and deployment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with scripting in batch and PowerShell, an in-depth understanding of Windows operating systems and networks, and the ability to research, develop, and test complex solutions independently.
• Report status of ongoing implementations to IT management and project managers, including risk assessment based on timeline impact, criticality, and scope of end user impact.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Serve as a risk manager by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring risks encountered daily as required by F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.
• Adhere to regulatory laws and guidelines to ensure compliance, as required by all position descriptions.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
