About the role

This client‑facing Investment Consulting position is part of the Investments & Retirement team within Marsh’s People and Investments business. The role is based in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or Denver and follows a hybrid model requiring at least three days per week in the office. You will work primarily with endowment and foundation clients, supporting a growth‑focused investment practice.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients’ staff, investment committees, and boards to deliver a spectrum of investment advice and solutions.
  • Leverage expertise to design, develop, deliver, and communicate investment solutions, including alternative investments.
  • Collaborate across internal teams on investment strategy, portfolio management, research, marketing, sales, and consulting practice.
  • Mentor junior colleagues in their career development.
  • Engage with clients and prospective clients to expand the breadth of services and help advance their missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field relevant to the position.
  • CFA, CFP, CAIA, or an advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–15 years of experience related to investment consulting.
  • Proven history of excellent client service, preferably with endowment and foundation clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both traditional and alternative investments to clients.
  • Experience presenting complex topics to audiences with varying levels of sophistication.
  • Self‑motivation and strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Eagerness to stay current with investment industry trends and market conditions.
  • Business‑development orientation, including building client relationships, participating in sales finals, and driving expansion opportunities.

Pay

The applicable base salary range for this role is $122,400 to $244,800, determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum‑wage requirements. In addition to base pay, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
