About the role

Assists with all endoscopic procedures performed by Endoscopy Center staff.

Assists in preparation and recovery of patients for procedures.

Maintains all equipment used by Endoscopy Center staff.

May be required to work multiple campuses.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Experience as Endoscopic Technician or Scrub Technician preferred.
• Endoscopy Technician certification preferred.
• Ability to read and write, perform simple calculations, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Pleasant, warm, and caring demeanor.
• Able to communicate clearly with, and care for a variety of people.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patient/family, units, and other staff members.
• Flexible in scheduling and assignments.
• Evidence of good personal health and hygiene.
• Ability to operate telephone, intercom system, calculator, and electronic medical record system.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about hospital policies and procedures.
• Committed to excellence in patient care.
• Willing to participate in call rotation.
• Capable of handling routine exposure to radiologic procedures.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
