White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an Endoscopy Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities
- Help care for patients and collect patient biopsies and specimens while maintaining a sterile field.
- Restock supplies and prepare the room before and after patient procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopy patient procedures, anticipating and providing instruments and supplies.
- Give instructions to patients as directed by the physician.
- Schedule appointments for procedures and follow-ups.
- Follow protocol per policy to ensure all equipment and instruments are disinfected properly and safety measures are upheld.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of hospital GI Tech experience or one year of surgical tech experience highly preferred.
- Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred.
- Completion of GI or Operating Room Technician courses preferred.
Schedule
- Employment Type: Part-time
- Hours per Week: 20 hours (2 shifts of 10 hours each)
- Typical Daily Schedule: between the hours of 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Shift Type: Day
- Weekend Requirements: every other weekend rotation
- Holiday Requirements: follow company holiday calendar
- Shift Differential Eligible: Yes
Pay
Pay Range: $22.64 - $30.63
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as Non-Exempt.
