Endoscopy Technician PRN

About the role

Parkland Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, offers an Endoscopy Technician PRN position. You will help provide safe, effective GI and endoscopy procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining a clean environment, assisting with patient positioning, supporting physicians and nurses, sterilizing equipment, and communicating compassionately with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
