Endoscopy Technician, Part-time, Days, GI, EWCH, Murphy, NC

About the role

This position provides endoscopy support under the direction of the RN and Endoscopy Technician, along with secretarial duties in the SDCU. Responsibilities include setting up, maintaining, cleaning, decontaminating, handling, and storing endoscopic equipment; assisting the physician during procedures; ordering and organizing supplies; facilitating departmental communication; providing age‑appropriate patient care; and managing office tasks such as chart preparation and information flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, meticulously clean and decontaminate, handle, and store endoscopic equipment
• Assist the physician as directed during endoscopic procedures
• Order and organize supplies to maintain departmental efficiency
• Facilitate communication and workflow within the department
• Provide age‑appropriate care to the endoscopy patient population
• Perform secretarial duties: manage information flow, maintain the office area, and set up patient charts

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required
• Experience as a CNA with knowledge of outpatient or surgical care
• Current BLS certification
• Self‑motivated and flexible to accommodate daily schedule changes
• Able to provide on‑call coverage

Schedule

Standard hours (regular); on‑call coverage required.
