About the role

Follows clearly defined endoscopy procedures to provide assistance to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Supports the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, decontamination and setup as needed. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to physicians and healthcare providers in endoscopy procedures
  • Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, and setup
  • Adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures for privacy and safety
  • Interpret data and instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram, schedule)
  • Communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Prioritize assignments and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Work independently and as part of a team in an environment with interruptions
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • General knowledge of gastrointestinal principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Schedule

  • Full Time (40 hours per week)
  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per day
  • Days of the week: Monday - Friday
  • Weekend requirements: As needed

Pay

Pay Range is $26.08 to $36.50 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
