Endoscopy Technician
About the role
The Wellness Avenue Surgery Center provides a modern, comfortable setting for outpatient GI procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. Our clinical team prioritizes safety, quality, and a supportive experience from preparation through recovery.
Responsibilities
- Operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures.
- Collaborates with the physician, registered nurse, and GI technician in the procedure room to ensure ideal conditions for positive patient outcomes.
- Cleans, disinfects, and maintains endoscopes and other instruments.
- Manages patient flow, prepares the room for procedures, stocks supplies, orders materials, and handles various clerical tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
- Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
