Under minimal supervision, maintains and manages complex endoscopic equipment and related components, ensuring readiness for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring availability and proper sterilization of endoscopic equipment for surgeries.
- Performing inspections, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and serving as a resource for equipment operation.
- Coordinating equipment readiness, providing technical assistance, and managing substitutions as needed.
- Ordering, restocking, and verifying inventory of supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
- Maintaining detailed records of inventory, repairs, expenses, and supporting budget planning.
- Processing billing, invoices, and vendor communications.
- Participating in evaluation and implementation of new equipment and supplies, and serving on relevant committees.
Qualifications
- High School/GED required.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.
- Must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification within one year of hire.
