Endoscopy Equipment Technician - Evening

Under minimal supervision, maintains and manages complex endoscopic equipment and related components, ensuring readiness for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring availability and proper sterilization of endoscopic equipment for surgeries.
  • Performing inspections, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and serving as a resource for equipment operation.
  • Coordinating equipment readiness, providing technical assistance, and managing substitutions as needed.
  • Ordering, restocking, and verifying inventory of supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
  • Maintaining detailed records of inventory, repairs, expenses, and supporting budget planning.
  • Processing billing, invoices, and vendor communications.
  • Participating in evaluation and implementation of new equipment and supplies, and serving on relevant committees.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.
  • Must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification within one year of hire.
