About the role

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
General Schedule: 5/8-hour days, primarily in the Renton clinic with the potential to work occasionally in the Covington clinic
No call
Average # of patients: 14-16
Support Staff: RN Care Manager, Medical Assistants, Patient Access Associates
Practitioners: 3 MDs, 1 APP, and 1 Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with diabetes and chronic diseases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Conduct routine patient assessments and manage ongoing care
• Prescribe medications and provide medication management services
• Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding diabetes management
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Ability to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Experience in Endocrinology is strongly preferred
• Certified Diabetes Educator certification or in progress would be ideal

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited program
• Current active license in the State of WA as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current DEA license with full prescriptive authority
• Completion of a certified diabetes educator course or equivalent

Skills

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of endocrinology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in electronic health record systems
