END Technologist I
Summary
Performs EEGs in an outpatient setting and at the patient's bedside. Responsibilities include applying patient electrodes, performing routine EEG testing, reviewing patient histories, educating patients, observing and analyzing clinical and technical changes, monitoring patient condition, documenting adverse reactions, identifying and eliminating artifacts, editing results, and forwarding them to the attending physician.
Responsibilities
- Applies patient electrodes in accordance to the International 10-20 system.
- Performs routine EEG testing.
- Reviews patient histories and educates patients about procedures.
- Observes, notates, and analyzes ongoing clinical and technical changes, adjusting the testing procedures as appropriate.
- Makes observations and documentation of patient condition and responds to and reports any adverse reactions.
- Identifies and eliminates artifacts.
- Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
- Completes all paperwork.
Requirements
- Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate's degree.
Qualifications
Meets ABRET's requirements for entry pathways to become a registered EEG technologist. If applicable, BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Pay
$25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Schedule
Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Nights.
