EMT or Paramedic (PRN)
Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Yerington, NV.
Schedule
The hours for this position are Monday - Saturday 7am - 5pm. Days and hours may change or vary based on client needs.
About the Role
This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift, we invite you to apply. Per diem is available for those who qualify.
The position involves collaborative work with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. The role includes patient care, workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring, working closely with outside medical providers.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
- Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
- Manage cases and medical charting
- Maintain OSHA record-keeping
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Willingness to go above and beyond

- Comfortable working in a construction environment, including climbing stairs and working at heights
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working with computers and some familiarity with EMR software
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
