EMT or Paramedic (PRN)
Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Coaldale, NV.
Schedule
- Monday - Saturday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Days and hours may change or vary based on client needs
- No guaranteed hours; occasional shifts available for those who qualify
About the Role
Looking to use your skills outside of EMS? Ready to challenge yourself in a new direction? This role involves collaborative work with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. The position focuses on patient care, workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
- Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
- Manage case documentation, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping
- Work closely with outside medical providers
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Willingness to go above and beyond
- Passion for people and providing the best care possible
- Comfortable working in a construction environment, climbing stairs, and working at heights as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working with computers and some familiarity with EMR software
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
