About the Role
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) assists paramedics with providing efficient and immediate care to patients in various emergency and non-emergency situations. Responsibilities include providing basic medical support such as CPR, AED, ventilation, and controlling hemorrhaging to stabilize the patient’s condition. The EMT documents all aspects of care provided under their direction by EMS services and operates the ambulance in various road conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, and controlling hemorrhaging
- Stabilize patient’s condition in emergency and non-emergency situations
- Document all aspects of care provided under EMS direction
- Operate an ambulance safely in various road conditions to transport patients to medical facilities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Previous EMT experience (preferred)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Current Missouri EMT License (required)
- Missouri Resident: MO Class E license (required)
- MO Non-Resident: Chauffeur’s license or Class E equivalent for that state (required upon hire)
Skills
- Ability to calmly and efficiently perform and make appropriate decisions rapidly under stress in emergency situations
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to follow instructions
- Familiarity with age-specific needs for the patient population served

Schedule
