EMT - Full Time (Night Shift)

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Onsite Health Technician to work at our construction site clinic in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 11pm-7am, with infrequent Saturday or Sunday possible from 6am-6pm.

About the role

This position is ideal for an Emergency Medical Technician looking to use their skills outside of EMS in a construction environment. Applicants should be comfortable working in a construction setting, climbing stairs, and working at heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
• Provide patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
• Work closely with outside medical providers.
• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic.
• Deliver superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs).
• Build and maintain internal team relationships.
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), case management, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping.

Requirements

• Valid licensure for the position (Emergency Medical Technician or equivalent).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive and outgoing personality.
• Passion for people and providing the best care possible.
• Ability to have fun while maintaining professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a construction environment.
• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EMR software.
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.

Pay

$29-$30 hourly.
