EMT - Full Time (Clinic)

About the role

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT to be an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The hours for this position are Friday-Monday 6pm-6am (hours subject to change at the needs of the client). Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
• Provide patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
• Work closely with outside medical providers.
• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic.
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols).
• Build and maintain internal team relationships.
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
• Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
• Document care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools.
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
• Manage cases and maintain medical charts.
• Perform OSHA record‑keeping.

Requirements

• Valid EMT licensure for the position.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift a 50‑lb emergency response bag.
• Ability to climb stairs and work at heights as needed.
• Comfortable working in a construction environment.
