EMT/ ER Technician

About the role

Taylor Regional Hospital is seeking an EMT/ER Technician to join our dynamic team. The position offers a variety of shifts including full-time and part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff regarding patient vitals, comfort needs, and pain levels.
• Respond to emergent situations efficiently.
• Knowledgeable about medical equipment and terminology.
• Follow HIPAA compliance guidelines.
• Aid in patient discharge communication to ensure understanding and resource availability.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Represent the organization professionally and contribute positively to the work environment.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency codes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Kentucky EMT license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• One to two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Annual KBEMS training required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate and concise documentation.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
• Lift over 50 lbs.
• Excellent route and navigation skills.
• Open to continuing education for the latest protocols.

Skills

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (renewals included with TRH employment).
