About the role
Our Emergency Department teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues passionate about creating positive patient interactions. As an EMT in our Emergency Department, you will support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assist with maintaining a safe, quiet, clean, and organized environment for healthcare delivery.
- Assist with patient care
- Transport patients, specimens, and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in patient rooms and the department
Requirements
- EMT-Basic Certification or EMT-Paramedic Certification is required
- Healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
- IV certification required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of the EMS course
- One year of hospital experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
