Pain Management Duties

• Obtains and records pain rating, weight, height, intake and output, and finger stick blood glucose.
• Demonstrates efficiency with safety lights, turns, and positioning of patients to ensure correct body alignment and maintain skin integrity.
• Assists patients with ADLs, including passing meals, nourishments, and fresh water at bedside.
• Participates in hourly rounding and answers call lights in a timely manner.
• Reports changes in vital signs and patient status to appropriate staff.

Cleanliness and Inventory

• Maintains a clean, organized environment.
• Helps with inventory of supplies and equipment.

Supporting Staff

• Follows directions of registered nurses, clinical coordinators, and managers.
• Supports the unit secretary by answering phones and directing patients and visitors.
• Delivers and picks up items from other departments and interacts with all ancillary departments.

Other Duties

• Completes other duties as assigned.
• Proactively anticipates the needs of other team members.

Education and Experience

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
• 1+ medical terminology or unit clerk experience [Preferred]
• 12-lead EKG experience [Preferred]
• EMT or Paramedic experience [Preferred]
• Vascular Sheath pull training /experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]
• OREMT-Advanced (EMT-A) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range

$16.51 - $26.42

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
