EMT Basic

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Create a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Utilize appropriate skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicle operations.
• Collaborate and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Obtain a State Driver’s License.
• Pass State of Florida EMT certification.
• Hold CPR/BLS certification.
• Ensure driving record complies with company policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some work experience in healthcare is preferred.

Pay

Starting Hourly Pay: $17.59+ DOE
