Responsibilities
- Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services.
- Maintain confidentiality and patient rights during documentation of patient information, condition, and treatment.
- Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with patients, other healthcare professionals, and public safety personnel.
- Use appropriate EMT skills including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office tools.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid State Driver’s License
- National EMT certification or ability to obtain within one year
- CPR/BLS certifications
- Pass a physical agility test
- Compliant driving record
- Minimum of some work experience in healthcare, preferably in a similar field
Qualifications
Must have a valid EMT certification to be considered for this position.
