EMT Basic

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient rights during documentation of patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with patients, other healthcare professionals, and public safety personnel.
• Use appropriate EMT skills including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office tools.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid State Driver’s License
• National EMT certification or ability to obtain within one year
• CPR/BLS certifications
• Pass a physical agility test
• Compliant driving record
• Minimum of some work experience in healthcare, preferably in a similar field

Qualifications

Must have a valid EMT certification to be considered for this position.
