About the role
Our Emergency Department teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues passionate about creating positive patient interactions. As an EMT with us, you will support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assist with maintaining a safe, quiet, clean, and organized environment for healthcare delivery.
- Assist with patient care
- Transport patients, specimens, and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in patient rooms and the department
Requirements
- EMT-Basic Certification or EMT-Paramedic Certification is required
- Healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
- IV certification required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of the EMS course
- One year of hospital experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and good interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
