Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC | Department: Critical Care Transport | Full-Time, Nightshift (7pm - 7am) – self scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and timely transport of the CCT staff and family of patients being transported between facilities
  • Provide basic maintenance to the CCT vehicles and maintain state required supply levels
  • Assist the registered nurse/paramedic with patient care as outlined by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of experience driving emergency vehicles in emergency traffic
  • Current NC EMT Certification
  • Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Class or Equivalent
  • Operating knowledge of emergency vehicles equivalent to the Novant Health Critical Care Transport ambulances
  • Operating knowledge and skill in radio communications
  • Ability to access, read and interpret maps
  • Must have exhibited a high degree of reliability, dependability and competency in previous work performance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicle driving record must meet requirements as set forth by corporate insurance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
