Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Use EMT skills to provide care, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
- Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicles.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.
- Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State EMT License.
- State Driver’s License.
- BLS and NREMT certification.
- Driving record compliant with company policy.
- Pass Physical Agility Test.
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
Qualifications
- Related experience in healthcare (preferred).
