EMT Advanced
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, determine necessary care and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights.
- Create a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Utilize appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
- Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicle operations.
- Collaborate and professionally interact with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
Other Responsibilities
- Engage in community programs to enhance Medstar's reputation and foster strong community relationships.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Driver’s License
- National or State AEMT certification
- CPR/BLS certifications
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
