EMS Training Officer - Aspen Ambulance - Full time
Position Overview
The EMS Training Officer is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of training and competency programs for Aspen Ambulance personnel. This position supports EMT, paramedic, and critical care education across 911 response, interfacility transport, and specialty transport operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Paramedic education program.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Paramedic (PARA) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.
- Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum of three (3) years of EMS experience in a 911 transport environment
- Colorado Critical Care Paramedic endorsement preferred.
- AHA Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) preferred.
- Critical care transport experience and/or experience with advanced procedures, blood administration, ventilator management, and prolonged transport preferred.
- Experience as a field training officer, preceptor, instructor, training coordinator, or in a similar educational or leadership role preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Colorado Critical Care Paramedic endorsement preferred.
