Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn to perform proper installation practices.
  • Understand the different types of network communication (like Modbus, Echelon, 485).
  • Understand best wiring and grounding practices.
  • Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs.
  • Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team.
  • Complete all paperwork properly.

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education

  • A high school diploma.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills (read/write/speak).
  • A strong mechanical aptitude, an asset.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Experience in installing controls.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of all EMS components.
  • Brazing experience is an asset.
  • EPA certification.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; climb; carry; bend; kneel; reach; push; pull; occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Noise level is medium/low.
