EMS SUPERVISOR
About the role
Provides supervision of all EMS Staff, guidance on property licensing requirements related to the EMS function, compliance with racing commission regulations, and scheduling for racing and exercise days.
- Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the EMS department.
- Support and administer operational goals; monitor performance and profit objectives.
- Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager on any concerns, focusing on guest satisfaction.
- Support compliance with departmental budgets.
- Develop and maintain the EMS Staff Schedule.
- Monitor and maintain EMS supplies/equipment; ensure setup of ambulance throughout the season.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Monitor patient care reviews and reports.
- Promote and demonstrate superior customer service; ensure standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Responsibilities

- Providing coaching and counseling to team members.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three to five years’ experience in a related field; one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues; resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism at all times.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English (e.g., safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals).
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- State Paramedic or EMT Licensure.
- Current CPR/AED Certification at Health Care Provider Level.
- Current Hazardous Material Awareness Training.
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
