Job Summary
State Fire Rescue Training Area 15/BCTC is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of EMS-Paramedic Instructor/Program Director. Job Duties
- Administration, organization, and supervision of the educational program
- Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program
- Long range planning and ongoing development of the program
- Evaluation of the program, including instruction and faculty, with systems in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program
- Cohesive involvement with the medical director
- Orientation/training and supervision of clinical and field internship preceptors
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of four (4) years certified or licensed as a Paramedic
- Experience providing care with an EMS organization that complies with the requirements
- Knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidenced-informed clinical practice
- Completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possession of a valid KBEMS Level III Instructor certification
