About the role
The Employment Training Specialist (ETS) at Devereux works with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This role requires identifying individual interests, workplace supports, and negotiating customized job placements.
Responsibilities
- Identify individual interests and skills to facilitate career choices.
- Use functional community-based assessments to match individuals with appropriate job roles.
- Negotiate customized jobs for individuals with disabilities, addressing employer concerns.
- Document the effectiveness of workplace supports and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Collect and analyze performance data to guide support modifications and decision-making.
- Engage with natural supports within the workplace to enhance success.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
- A valid non-provisional driver's license.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
- Show empathy and adopt a team approach in care for individuals.

Pay
Starting at $20.92 per hour, with increases based on education and experience.
Schedule
Statewide, with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the individuals served.
